HND in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is intended to develop learners’ understanding of policy, management theory and practice in logistics and supply chain management. The qualification provides learners with an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals and policy makers in their own country and provides knowledge that underpins the ability to work as an effective manager in the sector. Learners will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in the areas of business strategy, procurement, inventory management, risk assessment, supply chain globalisation, contract and financial management, and also learn about the factors which dominate how contemporary supply chains are managed. Successful completion of this qualification will allow learners to work in a variety of roles within logistics and supply chain management and to progress to further study.
